What is a medical-legal analyst?

A medical-legal analyst reviews and interprets medical records to support legal case strategy, focusing on causation, treatment reasonableness, and documentation accuracy.

How is this different from a medical summary?

Unlike basic summaries, our analysis identifies red flags, inconsistencies, and strategic insights that impact case value.

Who uses your services?

Our primary clients are personal injury attorneys, mass tort litigation firms, and insurance defense counsel. We serve solo practitioners, small firms, and large litigation practices nationwide.

What types of cases do you handle?

We specialize in personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall, dog bites, and mass tort litigation.

Process

What is your turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is five to seven business days from receipt of complete records. Our Comprehensive tier offers three to five business days, and Rush/Priority services deliver within 24 to 48 hours.

How do I submit medical records?

You can securely upload records via our HIPAA-compliant, encrypted upload portal. Details provided upon engagement.

What format are deliverables provided in?

Chronologies and summaries are delivered as professionally formatted PDF documents and editable Word files. Excel-based chronologies with sortable columns are available upon request at no additional charge.

Can you identify missing records?

Yes. We flag gaps in care, missing documentation, and recommend follow-up record requests.

Can I request revisions?

Yes. Every order includes one round of revisions at no additional cost. Additional revision rounds are available at a nominal fee.

Can you handle high-volume mass tort reviews?

Yes. We have experience in mass tort screening and can scale to meet your volume needs.

Are your reports attorney-client privileged?

Yes. All work is performed under the direction of counsel and is protected as attorney work product.

Pricing & Payment

How is pricing determined?

Pricing is based on the total page count of the medical records, the complexity of the medical history, the number of treating providers, and the selected turnaround time. We provide a firm quote after an initial assessment of your records.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe, PayPal, and ACH bank transfers. Established firm accounts may be eligible for Net-30 invoicing.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Law firms submitting five or more record sets per month qualify for tiered volume discounts. Contact us to set up a firm account and discuss preferred pricing.

Confidentiality & Compliance

Are you HIPAA compliant?

Yes. Trinity Connection maintains full HIPAA compliance across all operations.Our team is fully trained and certified in HIPAA compliance, ensuring secure and compliant medical‑legal workflows. Our systems use end-to-end encryption, and we follow strict data handling protocols for all protected health information (PHI).

How do you protect client data?

All records are transmitted and stored using AES-256 encryption. Access is restricted to assigned reviewers on a need-to-know basis. Records are securely deleted after the agreed retention period.

Do you sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)?

Yes. We execute BAAs with every client before handling any protected health information. A standard BAA is provided upon engagement, or we can review and sign your firm's BAA.

Technical

What file formats do you accept?

We accept PDF, TIFF, JPEG, Word (.docx), and scanned document formats. Records from electronic health record (EHR) systems, CDs, and USB drives can also be accommodated.

How are completed chronologies delivered?

Completed work is delivered via our secure client portal with email notification. Direct encrypted email delivery is also available. We do not use standard unencrypted email for deliverables containing PHI.

What if my records are incomplete?

If we identify gaps in the medical records during review, we will notify you with a detailed list of missing records and the providers involved. We can proceed with available records and supplement the chronology when additional records are obtained.
